Snow Kid
A small winter charm toy with a soft hat and simple body, made for shelves, bags, and gifts.
Pattern Notes
- This pattern uses US crochet terms.
- The head and body can be worked as one piece to reduce sewing.
Materials
- White yarn for the head and body
- Accent yarn for the hat and scarf
- Fiberfill / stuffing
- Safety eyes or black embroidery thread
- Yarn needle
Abbreviations
- MR: magic ring
- sc: single crochet
- inc: increase
- dec: decrease
- ch: chain
- sl st: slip stitch
- FO: fasten off
Head And Body
- Start with the head and increase evenly to create a round shape.
- Continue directly into the body so the main piece has a clean line.
- Stuff the head firmly before the neck area becomes narrow.
- Stuff the body, then dec evenly to close. FO and weave in the end.
Hat
- Work the hat separately and try it on the head before sewing.
- Sew the hat around the lower edge so it stays secure.
- Add a small pom-pom for a softer winter look.
Finishing
- Embroider a tiny mouth with black embroidery thread.
- Wrap the scarf around the neck and secure it at the back.
- Hide all yarn ends inside the body.
